Director of Finance
Hoffman York is looking for a Director of Finance who is responsible for the financial health of the organization. We are searching for a highly analytical individual to oversee our company’s financial planning and accounting operations.
Your duties include establishing targets, developing budgets, managing AP and AR, managing payroll and performing financial analysis. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with outstanding interpersonal and leadership abilities. The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years of experience and/or an MBA or Master's in Finance degree. One of the most important skills that a Director of Finance will have is financial forecasting and planning. Another critical skill is leadership and business acumen to manage the business finances.
Responsibilities
A Hoffman York Director of Finance will provide overall leadership and management of Hoffman York’s financial and accounting services with the following responsibilities.
Day-to-Day --
- Manage all accounting and finance employees.
- Supervise all audit and internal control processes.
- Maintain relationship with senior management.
- Generate client billing & respond to the Client Service and Media team’s ongoing financial requirements.
- Recognize patterns in company spending, revenue, and recommend solutions to any problem areas.
- Guarantee compliance with financial laws and guidelines.
Monthly/Quarterly --
- Coordinate with external financial entities (tax firm, 401K, bank, etc.) as the primary relationship contact on behalf of the company.
- Function as 401K plan administrator & 401k committee member.
- Manage overall company financial position.
- Manage process for forecasting/budgeting.
- Oversee preparation of financial reports including presenting to the Board of Directors and shareholders.
- Prepare detailed reports on the company’s financial performance.
- Manage year-end close including final cash position and tax.
- Develop long-term business/financial planning.
Develop budgets that meet the requirements of company departments.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, MBA preferred
- Proficiency in a variety of accounting software.
- 15+ years financial management experience
- Experience in the service industry preferably within Marketing and Advertising
- Experience working with executive management
- Strong analytical skills.
- Broad knowledge of accounting principles.
- Superior communication, organization, and team management skills
- Comfortable working with multiple teams cross-discipline, in-house and remote
